We are the areas newest used car dealership based on the outskirts of Dorchester.
Behind the scenes, we are a truly family-run business. My name is Ben, and I have been in the motor trade for over 26 years, starting at the age of 19. Over the years, I’ve gained extensive experience across various areas of the used car industry, and in March 2026, I decided to go it alone and establish The Car Shop Dorchester.
I manage the day-to-day running of the business, supported by my wife and two daughters, who play a vital role in everything from valeting and cleaning to window displays, administration, dropping me here and there and social media.
I’ve built a strong local reputation for providing excellent customer service, honesty, and supplying genuine, high-quality cars. You won’t find any of the usual sales patter from us — our aim is simple: to sell nice cars to nice people and build lasting relationships along the way, and hopefully, make some money.
Over the years, I have also developed a trusted network of local garages and mechanics who provide excellent support when needed. While I can’t promise that every vehicle will be completely trouble-free, I can promise that if any issues arise, I will do my utmost to resolve them quickly, fairly, and efficiently.
Our goal is not just to sell you one car, but to earn your trust so that when it’s time to change your vehicle, you’ll come back to us again. We know that looking after our customers properly is the only way to achieve that.

We operate on an appointment-only basis so we can give you our full attention and provide a personal, unhurried experience.
